Paul Monte, Co-Managing Partner of P&A’s New York office, was also named to the Super Lawyers list of Top 100 New York attorneys, an honor given to lawyers who, according to Super Lawyers, ranked top of the list in nominations, research, and peer evaluations. This is the third consecutive year he has been named to this list.
“To have such a large number of our New York attorneys recognized by Super Lawyers in such a preeminent location for construction and white collar/regulatory defense reflects the level of depth and talent of our dedicated attorneys in New York and around the United States,” said P&A Chair Steven M. Charney.
P&A previously announced that 34 attorneys had been named to the 2021 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists in the firm’s other locations – Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, Southern California, Texas, and Washington, DC.
Super Lawyers states that its process involves the selection of attorneys using a “patented multiphase selection process combining peer nominations and evaluations with independent research,” and that “each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.” They state that selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. According to Super Lawyers, their objective is to create a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers searching for legal counsel. Regarding its Rising Stars category, Super Lawyers states that eligibility for inclusion requires that a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.
