Each year, Super Lawyers utilizes its patented process of independent research and peer input to highlight an exclusive list of attorneys in every state and Washington, D.C. Only the top five percent of attorneys are named on the Super Lawyers list, and an even more limited segment of 2.5 percent of attorneys are recognized on the Rising Stars list.

Along with celebrating his 15th year of inclusion on the Super Lawyers list, Michael A. Branca, Co-Managing Partner of P&A’s Washington, D.C. office, was named to the Super Lawyers list of Top 100 Washington, D.C. attorneys. This is the third consecutive year he has been given this honor, which, according to Super Lawyers, is designated for those who “ranked top of the list in nominations, research, and peer evaluations.”

Recently, P&A announced 11 attorneys were named to the 2026 New Jersey Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists. The 2026 Super Lawyers lists in the firm’s other locations including Florida, Massachusetts, New York, and Texas, will be released in the second half of the year.

Super Lawyers states that its process involves the selection of attorneys using a “patented multiphase selection process combining peer nominations and evaluations with independent research,” and that “each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.” They state that selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.
