Brandon Rutledge is a senior associate in Peckar & Abramson’s Houston office. He represents clients in commercial and construction litigation matters before state and federal courts, and in domestic arbitrations, including a wide range of disputes involving design and construction defects, delay in performance claims, productivity claims, payment disputes, lien removal and foreclosure actions, as well as fraud, tortious interference, and other business tort claims.
“What jumps out at me about the Houston team, and this firm, is first and foremost the deep bench of leading construction lawyers. When it comes to large disputes and complicated matters, industry leaders not only want skilled litigators but advocates who understand their business, their interests, and the challenges they face. It makes a difference.”
Brandon has first chair trial experience and has obtained numerous favorable settlements on behalf of construction and energy clients throughout Texas and the U.S. Clients also rely on Brandon to review and negotiate a variety of transactions and agreements.
Prior to joining Peckar & Abramson, Brandon represented several of the region’s leading energy firms and oil and gas exploration companies in high-stakes litigation. He also defended companies and secured favorable settlements in federal CERCLA cases as well as ADA and ADAAG disputes, and assisted with acquisitions of gas and mineral properties in excess of $100 million.
A native Houstonian, Brandon earned his J.D. at South Texas College of Law and his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. While attending Texas A&M, he served as Senior Class President as well as the Executive Officer of the Corps of Cadets unit responsible for the Texas A&M mascot, Reveille VIII. The University’s School of Military Sciences later recognized Brandon with a Certificate in Leadership Study and Development.
