Peckar & Abramson Dallas attorneys Paulo Flores, Ian Fullington, Timothy Matheny, and Stewart Shurtleff will present “Law 101 for Contractors,” hosted by TEXO. The one day seminar will navigate attendees through the construction law overlay to a typical construction project from a general contractor and subcontractor prospective. This will begin with the negotiation of prime contract and subcontract, continue through the project documentation of common project-related claims, and continue through the claims process until resolution of the case through traditional dispute resolution mechanisms (mediation and arbitration/litigation). This moderated narrative will allow conversation and interaction among the participants while touching on the core issues described above and ancillary issues associated therewith. The course will take place September 13 from 9:00am to 4:00pm CST at the TEXO Conference Center.
