Peckar & Abramson P.C. is pleased to announce that Partner Thomas J. Curran has accepted the nomination to become Vice-Chairman of the Prisoner Legal Services (“PLS”) of New York Board.

For over seven years, Curran has served on the PLS Board, working to ensure the inmate community is provided with quality legal services for their legitimate concerns. The PLS is a State-sponsored program in which legal representation is offered to indigent prisoners in an effort to advocate for a more humane criminal justice system.

“Of all the pro bono work I do, this is by far the most valuable” Curran says, adding, “I am pleased to accept this nomination and to further progress our agenda in providing fundamental justice for prisoners in our correctional institutions.”
