Stephen Katz, Partner and Director of the firm’s Corporate Law Practice Group authored an article titled “Crowdfunding” that appeared in the July 2014 issue of Lawyer Monthly magazine in the Legal Focus section. Crowdfunding is the practice of funding a project or venture by raising monetary contributions from the public. The article focused on how to obtain financing under the current financial climate in comparison to traditional sources. Mr. Katz also mentioned that crowdfunding also provides a new avenue for smaller investors to participate in deals that they would not otherwise be able to invest in.
