Robert S. Peckar and Denis Serkin co-authored Chapter 2 titled “Dispute Resolution in Construction Projects” in the seventh edition of The Projects and Construction Review that was recently published. Mr. Peckar and Mr. Serkin discuss dispute resolutions in the construction process including construction disputes in domestic and international projects, solving problems at the project level, the role of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in early problem solving and dispute avoidance, arbitration, the cost and confidentiality of ADR, integrated project delivery systems and building information modeling and the role of construction lawyers.
