Peckar & Abramson, P.C. (P&A) is pleased to announce that Kevin O’Connor, chair of the firm’s Business Litigation practice and vice-chair of the firm’s Labor and Employment practice, has been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney.
According to the Supreme Court of New Jersey, “A designation of Certified Civil Trial Attorney is granted only to those attorneys who are able to demonstrate the highest levels of experience, education, knowledge, and skill in civil trial practice. Less than 2% of attorneys in New Jersey have the honor of this accreditation.” A New Jersey attorney who is certified as a civil trial attorney must meet a multitude of criteria over the five years preceding certification including being favorably evaluated by 12 of their peers, participating in at least 45 days of trial during which the attorney served as lead counsel in at least five jury cases, and passing a day long written examination in the intricacies of civil trial law.
“Kevin has made innumerable contributions to Peckar & Abramson and this merited designation acknowledges his exemplary trial capabilities and is a reflection of his commitment to extraordinary client service,” said Steven M. Charney, P&A Chair. “Our clients have greatly benefitted from the outstanding leadership and capabilities Kevin brings to our Corporate & Commercial Disputes practice.”
