Peckar & Abramson, P.C. (P&A) is pleased to announce that Charles F. Kenny, Co-Managing Partner of the firm’s New Jersey offce, has been selected by the New Jersey Law Journal (NJLJ) as a Mentor Honoree in its annual 2019 Professional Excellence Awards. Mr. Kenny was recognized for his continued commitment to the development of up-and-coming construction attorneys, which includes his long-time service as a professor in the School of Construction Management at New Jersey Institute of Technology.

A frequent speaker and published author, Mr. Kenny is co-editor of the Peckar & Abramson Newsletter, a publication that has served for years as an important reference for the construction industry. He serves as counsel to the Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey and previously served as an adjunct professor in the Department of Engineering Technology at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Mr. Kenny has published articles on the New Jersey Construction Lien Law and other construction issues, and is the co-author of the chapter entitled “Construction and Development” in Commercial Real Estate Transactions in New Jersey, published by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. Mr. Kenny is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Federal Claims, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, and the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the ABA Forum on the Construction Industry, as well as the New Jersey State Bar Association. Mr. Kenny served on the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Section of Construction Law, and served the Section as chair for several years. Mr. Kenny received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University and his law degree from Fordham Law School.
