Cody Schneider, Parter in P&A’s Houston office, will be a speaker for, “When Power Becomes the Critical Path: Delay Drivers & Mitigation for Hyperscale Data Center Delivery,” at the Construction Super Conference.

Cody and fellow speakers Andy Ferroggiaro, House Counsel at Fortis Construction Inc., Jorge Berrios, Principal at HKA Global LLC, and Jeffrey Conner, Senior Director of Legal, Real Estate & Construction at NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc., will explore how power availability is increasingly shaping the delivery of hyperscale data center projects, often becoming a more significant schedule driver than traditional construction activities. The session will address the challenges posed by utility interconnection delays, grid capacity constraints, regulatory developments, and load forecasting issues, as well as their impact on project timelines and risk exposure.

Participants will learn a variety of approaches being used to manage power-related uncertainty, including behind-the-meter generation, non-firm interconnections, power purchase agreements, and hybrid energy solutions. They will also walk away with practical considerations for project planning, contract strategy, risk allocation, stakeholder engagement, and dispute avoidance to help teams successfully navigate today’s evolving energy landscape.
