Kevin J. O’Connor will be moderating a program at the American Bar Association Annual Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts on August 8, 2014 titled ” BYOD: “Bring your Own Device” or “Bring your Own Disaster?”. This program will provide an in depth analysis of the results of allowing employees to bring their own devices to work, including the increased litigation risks, perils lurking in every text, tweet, and cloud-stored document and email. Participants will learn how a BYOD policy could save your client from, or expose your client to, trouble with harassment complaints, driving/ texting liability, litigation holds, document retrieval, trade secret protection, data breaches, malware, and other serious BYOD risks.
