Bio
Pat represents construction managers, general contractors, manufacturers, owners, developers, and subcontractors in the resolution of various issues such as contract disputes, construction defects, delay and disruption claims, lien claims, performance and payment bond claims, public bidding challenges, and insurance coverage.
In addition to his work with the construction law practice, Pat is also involved in commercial litigation, aiding clients on a number of claims including business contract disputes, consumer fraud, and bankruptcy. He regularly appears before several federal and state courts throughout New York and New Jersey for motions, trials, and other similar activities.
Pat has handled several jury and non-jury trials and arbitrations, and a variety of appeals including cases where P&A obtained a recommendation from a Dispute Resolution Board in favor of the client resulting in a substantial award, and negotiated a significant settlement on a significant and well-disputed delay claim, saving the project owner millions of dollars in costs, overruns, and related expenses in a well-publicized New Jersey public project.
Prior to returning to P&A, Pat served as in-house counsel at a major general contractor. He received his B.A. from Fordham University, cum laude, and his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he served as the Notes & Comments Editor for the Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law.
