Nicholas J. Zaita, a partner in Peckar & Abramson’s New Jersey office, focuses on construction law and commercial business disputes. Nick has over a decade of litigation experience, representing heavy-highway construction contractors, specialty subcontractors, and engineering firms in state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey. He has consistently helped clients achieve successful results, whether through private mediation, arbitration, or in trial.

Nick also serves as corporate counsel for many clients, providing legal guidance on contract drafting and negotiations, employment policies, and insurance coverage.
In 2018, Nick was appointed to serve on the New Jersey Supreme Court Fee Arbitration Committee as a panel chair for the Bergen County District Fee Arbitration Committee.
After graduating from law school, Nick served as the law clerk for the Hon. Robert P. Contillo, P.Ch. (Ret.), in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen Vicinage. During his clerkship, Nick gained invaluable knowledge of the inner workings of the court system, which he uses every day to provide the most effective representation for his clients.
Nick pursued his passion for athletics and the sports industry by earning degrees in Sports Management from the University of Tampa and University of Florida. In law school, Nick integrated his experience in the sports industry with the law, working as a law clerk for the National Football League Management Council.
Nick has been named by New Jersey Super Lawyers as one of the top attorneys in New Jersey every year since 2017. He received his J.D. from New York Law School, his M.S. from the University of Florida, and his B.S. from the University of Tampa.
