Bio
Edward delivers practical, efficient guidance to clients throughout the entire construction process, from evaluating and negotiating contracts, resolving project disputes, perfecting or disputing lien and bond claims, litigating, arbitrating, and mediating claims, and recovering payment. Well-versed in Texas lien law, he helps clients navigate the complex requirements of pre-lien and lien notices, mechanic’s liens, bond claims, and lien enforcement actions. Edward routinely handles commercial collection efforts and lien foreclosure litigation aimed at securing payment for labor and materials furnished on construction projects or defending contractors facing such claims.
In addition to his Texas-based work, Edward coordinates with local counsel to support clients on out-of-state matters, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment across jurisdictions wherever the clients’ projects are located.
Throughout his career, Edward has become a trusted legal advisor to many contractors who rely on his practical, timely, and business-minded counsel to address the legal issues that arise in the day-to-day operation of their businesses.
Edward received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is a member of the Regional Hispanic Contractors Association (RHCA) and TEXO and is fluent in English and Spanish.
