Description
Peckar & Abramson, a leading nationally recognized construction law firm, is seeking an office clerk who is responsible for performing administrative tasks, including upkeep of office and kitchen supplies, management of copiers and printers (i.e., paper and toner checks), file management and organization, library updates and organization, answering phones, managing incoming mail, and providing general office support to attorneys and staff within a law firm. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to be a team player.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities may include:
- General office tasks: Maintaining office and kitchen supplies, managing equipment.
- Library Management: Updating library materials and maintaining organization of library.
- File management: Maintaining physical and electronic case files, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Mail management: Receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming mail, preparing and sending outgoing mail.
- Reception duties: Answering phone calls, greeting clients and visitors, directing them to appropriate staff members.
- Document preparation: Copying, scanning, and electronically filing documents.
Qualifications
- Team player: Willing to support attorneys and staff members with a variety of duties and tasks.
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and other staff members.
- Strong organizational skills: Efficiently managing multiple tasks and prioritizing work.
- Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in document preparation and data entry.
Work Environment
Position is based in our Washington, D.C. office and is on-site. The selected candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to serving the construction industry while maintaining the highest standards of legal practice.

- The salary range for this role is $50,000 to $65,000 and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.
