Bio
Ryan represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and industry professionals in complex, multi-party, high-damage actions, including design defect allegations and premises liability claims. A large portion of Ryan’s practice is dedicated to representing Texas employers who are Non-Subscribers, directing corporate investigations, and working with the P&A team throughout all stages of litigation.
Often becoming involved in potential claims within hours of an incident, he conducts investigations alongside corporate risk management personnel to ensure a defensive litigation strategy is implemented from beginning to end.
Ryan is also heavily involved in defending healthcare professionals against regulatory actions, including hearings before Texas professional licensing boards, including the Texas Medical Board; he has successfully obtained numerous summary judgments and dismissals for healthcare providers. His practice in this area also includes representation of issues related to Stark, Anti-Kickback, and HIPAA.
As a trusted outside counsel, Ryan provides invaluable guidance to several large transportation companies, advising each on complex, industry-specific issues related to commercial business and regulation at the state and federal levels.
