Stephen H. Reisman and Michael C. Zisa will be speaking at the National Association of Surety Bond Producers virtual seminar on September 8, 2015 starting at 2:00pm EDT. The seminar titled “Mid-Project Changes in Construction Financing: Practical Considerations” will discuss how mid-project changes in an owner’s construction financing can cause unforeseen and unintended complications for sureties providing payment and performance bonds as well as the contractor, subcontractors and even the owner. Mr. Reisman and Mr. Zisa will use a case study to highlight the potential issues resulting from mid-project changes in construction financing including dual obligee riders and priority of lien rights, and discuss strategies to avoid pitfalls from the perspective of all project participants.
