Melinda S. Gentile will be speaking at the American Bar Association (ABA) Construction Forum 2015 Mid-Winter Meeting, January 28 – 30, 2015 at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. Ms. Gentile’s presentation titled “Home-cooked!: Things Not To Do When Practicing In A Foreign Jurisdiction Or Acting As Local Counsel (Ethics)” will focus on attorneys conducting work across state lines when they are not licensed to practice in that state. Ms. Gentile will include topics such as when to call in local counsel, the responsibilities that local counsel must assume, mediating or arbitrating a case in a state where you are not licensed to practice, conducting due diligence on local culture and more.
