Frank Rapoport was quoted in an article in the September 1, 2015 Miami Today titled “Public-Private Matchmaking Forum”. The article focused on the excitement surrounding an upcoming program entitled “The P3 Pipeline: A Forum for the Private Sector,” set for September 24-25, 2015 at Florida International University’s campus in North Miami, Florida and its importance of educating the construction industry on opportunities for public-private partnerships (P3s) beyond transportation projects. According to Mr. Rapoport, “Government doesn’t have the money to get these projects started, but they can do that with P3s, and some of these projects are suitable,” he said. He also stated, “This is simply an innovative project-delivery vehicle in which private industry is on the hook for building government assets. The county wants the private sector to know they’re serious about this.”
