Levi W. Barrett, Senior Associate in the firm’s New York office, will speak at the AGC New York State 32nd Annual Construction Industry Conference, December 4 – 6, 2018 at the Saratoga Hilton and Saratoga City Center in Saratoga Springs, NY. Mr. Barrett’s presentation titled, “Managing Construction Risk Through Insurance” will focus on the ways that contractors can use insurance and well-drafted insurance provisions in construction contracts to mitigate and manage risk. Mr. Barrett along with other industry panelists, will discuss myths and rumors surrounding various insurance products and give practical, plain-English, tips for using insurance effectively. In addition to Commercial General Liability, Builder’s Risk and Professional Liability, they will also discuss risk transfer vehicles such as surety bonds, Subcontractor Default Insurance, Letters of Credit, Indemnities and Parent Company Guaranties.
