Fernando Langa is an Associate in the Construction Law Practice at Peckar & Abramson. He focuses on construction including matters involving contractors, owners, other construction professionals, and sureties in disputes arising from construction and design-defect claims, contract claims, bond claims and related matters. Mr. Langa’s experience includes matters involving large-scale transportation infrastructure works.

Mr. Langa was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and is a native Spanish speaker and part of Peckar & Abramson’s Latin American Practice Group, as well as a leading member of Construlegal®, an Alliance of Construction Law Firms for the Americas (www.construegal.com).
Mr. Langa’s representation of contractors includes contract negotiation (prime and subcontract), project administration to resolve issues in real-time and avoid litigation, administering and facilitating payments and final project close-out, and litigation of disputes that cannot be avoided, including those for non-payment and construction defects. Mr. Langa has also successfully defended and resolved employment practice liability claims, including those for discrimination and violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Langa served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Antonio Arzola, Circuit Judge for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida.
Mr. Langa received his bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Miami and his juris doctor degree, cum laude, also from the University of Miami. During law school, Mr. Langa was an associate editor of the Inter-American Law Review and an active participant in the International Moot Court Program. As a member of the international moot court program, Mr. Langa competed in the Vis International Commercial Moot in Vienna, Austria.
Mr. Langa is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida.
