Within the past several years, mold and fungal growth have become a particularly problematic issue for the construction and development community. In response to this issue, Peckar & Abramson has launched an internal task force focused solely on responding to the construction industry’s needs in the wake of this crisis. Although Peckar & Abramson has been involved, for many years, in mold related litigation throughout the country and beyond, our Mold Task Force is a collaboration of several of our attorneys’ experiences and talents regarding mold related matters. The task force has further enhanced Peckar & Abramson’s ability to provide leading edge support to our clients needs in addressing mold related issues, whether in the form of prosecuting or defending claims or providing counsel to manage this now largely uninsured risk. In addition, to assisting the construction industry in dealing with this serious issue, our firm has initiated the Associated General Contractors of America’s (AGC) formation of a national mold litigation task force, on which one of our partners presently serves as the vice-chair.
