Mr.
Pacer
has
22
years
of
experience
as a
litigation
attorney.
He
has
tried
thirty-two
civil
and
criminal
cases
to
jury
verdict
and
has
tried
numerous
cases
before
the
bench
as
well.
Mr.
Pacer
has
argued
before
the
Illinois
Appellate
Court
nine
times.
Mr.
Pacer
also
has
extensive
experience
representing
clients
in
mediation
and
arbitration
proceedings
and
has
been
chosen
as a
party-arbitrator
or
as a
third-neutral
arbitrator
on
several
occasions.
Over
the
past
few
years,
a
significant
portion
of
Mr.
Pacer’s
time
has
been
spent
providing
clients
with
basic
corporate
ethics
and
contract
compliance
advice
and
conducting
internal
investigations
and
audits
of
business
practices.
Mr.
Pacer
has
assisted
clients
in
making
voluntary
disclosures
where
appropriate
and
dealing
with
law
enforcement
or
regulatory
agencies
when
necessary.
During
this
time,
a
large
portion
of
Mr.
Pacer’s
litigation
practice
involves
defending
clients
against
allegations
of
fraud,
deceptive
practices
and
violation
of
RICO
statutes.
Mr.
Pacer
has
also
represented
his
clients
in a
wide
variety
of
other
types
of
litigated
matters
including
construction
related
claims,
business
disputes,
employment
controversies,
complex
trust
litigation
and
investment
disputes.
Throughout
his
career,
Mr.
Pacer
has
counseled
executives
and
officers
of
various
publicly
traded
and
privately
held
corporations
in
contract
and
severance
negotiations
as
well
as
representing
clients’
interests
on a
number
of
occasions
in
grand
jury
investigations.
Mr.
Pacer
is a
former
Assistant
State’s
Attorney
in
Cook
County,
Illinois,
a
former
partner
at
the
firm
of
Williams
Montgomery
&
John
and
was
a
founding
partner
of
the
Harrison
&
Held
law
firm.
In
light
of
his
accomplishments,
Mr.
Pacer
has
been
recognized
as a
Chicago
Super
Lawyer.
Mr.
Pacer
is
admitted
to
practice
law
before
the
United
States
District
Court
in
the
Northern
District
of
Illinois
(Trial
Bar)
and
in
the
Central
District
of
Illinois
as
well
as
the
courts
of
the
State
of
Illinois.
Mr.
Pacer
is
currently
admitted
to
practice
law
on a
Pro
Hac
basis
in
the
United
States
District
Court
of
the
Southern
District
of
New
York.
