Charles F. Kenny is a partner at Peckar & Abramson. He brings to the firm his proficiency in the area of construction contracts, his knowledge of legislation affecting the construction industry and his expertise in litigating in the New York and New Jersey courts. Additionally, he serves as counsel to the Building Contractors Association of New Jersey, and is an adjunct professor in the Department of Engineering Technology at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.  

Mr. Kenny is the editor of the Peckar & Abramson Newsletter, a thrice yearly publication that is an invaluable source of reference for the construction industry. Additionally, he has published articles on the New Jersey Construction Lien Law and other construction issues. He is also the author of the chapter on Construction and Development in Commercial Real Estate Transactions in New Jersey, published by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, and is a featured speaker and lecturer for that organization as well as for the Building Contractors Association.

Mr. Kenny assisted in drafting and was instrumental in lobbying for the passage of the changes in the New Jersey Municipal Lien Law and Public Bond Act, and revisions to the New Jersey public bidding laws.

Mr. Kenny is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Federal Claims, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey, as well as the courts of the State of New York and the State of New Jersey.  He is a member of the American Bar Association and the ABA Forum on the Construction Industry, as well as the New Jersey State Bar Association and its Section on Construction and Public Contract Law. Mr. Kenny has been recognized by New York and New Jersey Super Lawyers for construction law. He has also been selected for the inclusion in Best Lawyers of America.

Significant published decisions include: Siemens Westinghouse Power Corporation vs. Dick Corporation, 293 F. Supp 2d 336 (S.D.N.Y. 2003), Craft vs. Stevenson Lumber Yard, Inc., 179 N. J. 56 (2004); Labov Mechanical Inc. vs. East Coast Power, L.L.C., 377 N. J. Super 240 (App. Div. 2005), Williams Scotsman, Inc. v. The Garfield Board of Education, 379 NJ Super 51 (App. Div. 2005).

Mr. Kenny is a graduate of Georgetown University and Fordham Law School.
