For more than 50 years, Alvin Goldstein has specialized in and, as lead counsel, has tried numerous complex construction cases and written the briefs for and argued many appeals in various appellate courts. He has earned a reputation for quality performance and professionalism, representing contractors on many of the major projects in the New York metropolitan area. His reputation has helped him successfully resolve numerous disputes with the various agencies and authorities in New York City, the State of New York, and other local, state and federal jurisdictions.

Before joining Peckar & Abramson, Mr. Goldstein was a founding member of Berman, Paley, Goldstein & Berman, a well-known construction law firm. He has been the lead counsel on dozens of landmark cases, and represented many of the leading heavy and building construction companies for generations. He has extensive commercial and real estate law expertise, and has counseled clients on corporate matters.

Mr. Goldstein graduated from City College of New York in 1950 with a bachelor’s degree in social science; earned a bachelor of laws degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1953; and was awarded a doctorate in juridical science magna cum laude by Brooklyn Law School in 1960.

Mr. Goldstein is also admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
