Jeffrey M. Daitz is a partner and the Co-Chair of Peckar & Abramson's Labor Relations and Employment Law Department. As the Director of the Department’s Employment Practices Group, Mr. Daitz handles defense and oversight of Employment Practices Liability and Directors & Officers claims through insurance coverage, and monitors EPLI/D&O claims on behalf of carriers. He also coordinates local and co-counsel in multiparty and multijurisdictional litigation.

Mr. Daitz has extensive experience litigating employment discrimination, harassment, whistleblowing, retaliation, wrongful discharge, defamation, misappropriation, and other employment-related cases before federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels. He handles mediations and arbitrations in alternative dispute resolution forums, defends administrative proceedings before the EEOC and other federal, state, and local fair employment practice agencies, and defends wage/hour audits and other regulatory compliance investigations before federal and state departments of labor. He also represents employers in labor-management disputes, including collective bargaining negotiations and grievance arbitrations.

Mr. Daitz provides clients with day-to-day management counseling on a wide range of employment issues, including employee policies, contracts, discipline, terminations, leaves of absence, accommodations, complaints, investigations, benefits, confidential information, noncompete agreements, company reorganizations, and executive compensation. He also advises clients on issues affecting loss control, compliance, and risk management, such as by providing employment practices audits.

Mr. Daitz conducts seminars on best workplace practices, corporate diversity, sexual harassment investigations, and regulatory compliance, which are designed to not only provide effective training for human resources and management personnel, but also for educational purposes at CLE and other presentations.

Mr. Daitz is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Sections of the New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania State Bar Associations, and of the American Bar Association, where he serves as a contributing author to the Subcommittees on the Family and Medical Leave Act and Federal Labor Standards Legislation and to the Newsletter on ADR in Labor and Employment Law. He is also a member of Professional Liability Underwriters Society and The Defense Research Institute, and the co-editor of the firm’s Labor Relations and Employment Law Newsletter. Mr. Daitz received his Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Temple University.
